Powerhouse Agent Showcase (In-Person)
Two-Week Program
CAA, WME, UTA...have you always wanted to know what the big offices are looking for in an actor? This two week in-person class will help you understand how leading talent reps operate and how to get on their radar. You'll receive invaluable coaching from our founder Misha Calvert who will also present curriculum on the basics of pitching and marketing yourself to reps. Each week, you'll perform a scene live for the agents and get their notes for a second take!

Week 1
Week one, you'll have a chance to tape a scene of your choosing in advance for notes from Misha before you present that same scene live in class to the agents. The number one complaint we hear from reps and casting directors about classes is that actors are unprepared, so we want to make sure your technique and scene choices are making you look your absolute best! You'll receive feedback on your scene from Misha and get a recording of your work after class. You'll also get a chance to ask the agents and Misha questions in a live Q&A. Classes will take place at a rental studio in Manhattan.

Week 2
Week two you'll be assigned a new scene to perform live. The guest will work individually with each actor on your scene with time for a redirect. Misha and the agents will then team up for a Q&A to answer all your questions about big-budget film and TV. You'll receive a recording of all of your work over the past two sessions for future use as well as priceless insight into marketing yourself for reps. You'll also be invited to network with your fellow students and the rest of the Vermilion community at a live networking event!
Misha Calvert
Director and Coach
Misha is an award-winning writer, director, and showrunner based in New York. Her latest film, FAULT, premieres at Tribeca Film Festival in 2026. She has created five digital series: STRUT (2018 Tribeca Film Festival) which campaigned for an Emmy in 2022, and ALL HAIL BETH, which landed in the top 25 on the iTunes soundtrack charts in 2019.
Her upcoming projects include PINK FLAGS, starring Raye and Sawyer Spielberg (Panavision New Filmmaker Grant); CANDY, a musical short created in partnership with singer-songwriter Kate Eberstadt; and THE FUCKBOY DIARIES, a comedy series. On the feature side, Misha is developing two narrative dramatic features.
Misha’s work is high-concept and visually driven, with a consistent focus on gender, mental health, power, and the female experience. She is the founder of Vermilion, an educational arts organization supporting actors and creatives. You can coach with Misha one-on-one, in class, or via her new partnership with Sundance Collab.
